Prof Lioz Etgar’s Group (The Hebrew University of Jerusalem)

Prof. Lioz Etgar’s group focuses on the development of radically new nanostructures and molecular materials for the production of innovative solar cells and third generation solar cells. Combining radically new materials with novel architectures.

In my research we concentrate on functional materials for solar energy application and the assembly and the characterisation of the solar cell. My laboratory specialises in organic-inorganic perovskites including synthesis of perovskite NPs, 2D perovskites, their characterisation, and their use in solar cells and LEDs.

As a part of the research we study the interfaces and mechanism of these optoelectronic devices.

The KP Technology system helps us to measure the fermi and quasi fermi levels of our semiconductors materials. In addition, we use the SPS technique to study the band gap in semiconductor materials and determine the material properties such as n-type semiconductor Vs. p-type semiconductor.
